This series is all about conservation and natural resources. In Pagosa Springs, where I live, we are surrounded by National Forest. However, the bears do not follow the boundaries we humans set up and merrily make their way wherever they please. We have struck a beautiful -yet imperfect- balance based on honoring the resources and wildlife that make their way into our everyday life. Every bear has a name, is a beautiful being, and is celebrated through my artwork as an individual who deserves respect.
